Position Summary
We are hiring for a Casual Occupational Therapist to join our team in Merritt, B.C. Shifts may be Monday to Friday days, on a casual as needed basis, assigned to the Community OT team. We have ongoing casual needs that would suit an OT with with full-time or part-time availability.

About the position:

The occupational therapist works independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing acute care occupational therapy services including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education of patients and/or their caregivers to promote functional independence and enable the client to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. The occupational therapist contributes to the organization and the overall goals of the department; participates in departmental/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education; and provides work direction to the rehabilitation assistants working with the rehabilitation team in regards to transfer of function.

Qualfications
Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
Full practicing registration as an Occupational Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
Valid BC Driver’s license.
