SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST - MERRITT SCHOOLS

Nicola Similkameen School District is seeking a 1.0 FTE Continuing Speech-Language Pathologist to serve Merritt schools.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Must possess a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Must be a member, or eligible to become a member, of the BCASLPA or CASLPA.
  • Proven willingness to work as part of an educational team providing speech-language services with emphasis on students at the elementary level.
  • Experience working within a school and community health environment.

Merritt makes up the major communities of the Nicola Similkameen School District. Merritt is located in the Nicola Valley and serves as the hub of a freeway system that links Kamloops, Kelowna, and Vancouver. Ranching, mining, tourism and forestry are the four major economic industries in the Nicola Valley.

Salary is based on the teachers’ salary grid, with a full range of benefits available. A mileage allowance will also be provided while on the job. The starting annual salary for this position ranges from $60,090 - $109,520 .
