About the worksite | Hillside Centre is a 44 bed facility located on the Royal Inland Hospital campus. The facility provides services to both adults and elderly individuals with acute illness and/or severely dysfunctional behaviours who cannot be cared for in the psychiatric system in their own area. The focus is on diagnosis and stabilization with rehabilitation strategies to promote stabilization and reintegration into the community to return home.

About the position | An Occupational Therapist plays a crucial part in providing assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education to patients and/or their caregivers. Operating within a client-centered approach and as an essential member of our interdisciplinary team, you make a substantial contribution to promote functional independence and enable patients to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. You will provide work direction to the Rehabilitation Assistants working with the rehabilitation team in regard to transfer of function.

Qualfications
• Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professions of British Columbia (CHCPBC). Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists or British Columbia Society of Occupational Therapists.
• Valid Driver’s license.
