Respiratory Therapist | Acute

Position Summary
East Kootenay Regional Hospital (EKH), located in Cranbrook, B.C., is hiring Respiratory Therapists (RTs) to join their acute care team. Shift times may be Days or Nights: 07:00 to 19:15 or 19:00 to 07:15 on an as needed basis. On call and high acuity response team external transports are a requirement of this position.

Joining us at EKH, you’ll be relied upon for your urgent airway and respiratory assessment expertise throughout the hospital and with all patient populations. You’ll be a valued member of the ICU team as you participate in daily rounds and in the creation of patient care plans. Multidisciplinary colleagues depend on the RTs for their recommendations with ward patients, their assistance with discharge planning, and home oxygen assessments.

Qualfications
• Graduation from a recognized Respiratory Therapy program.
• Current certification with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and eligible for registration with the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT) and CSRT.
• Recent acute/critical care experience.
• Current valid Driver’s License.
