Position Summary
Kamloops Central Health is hiring for Casual Speech-Language Pathologists to join the team! Days of work maybe Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 16:30 on a casual as needed basis, therefore hours are not guaranteed and may vary depending on staffing needs.

About the position:

As a member of the Early Childhood Development team, you will provide family-centered speech & language services to children from birth to school entry and their families. Responsibilities include the provision of a full range of clinical services, community consultation and education, and implementation of a population health approach to promote healthy communication in the general population.

Kamloops Central Health provides a range of public health services aimed at promoting community health and well-being. Services often include immunizations, health education, disease prevention, and support for individuals and families facing health challenges.

The unit works closely with local organizations and health care providers to address the unique needs of the Kamloops community. They may also focus on specific public health issues, such as communicable diseases, maternal and child health, and mental health support.

Qualfications
• Full practicing registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
• One year’s recent, related experience in working with clients in Early Childhood Development setting and/or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Valid Driver’s license.
