Canada Games: Québec, 2027
As the largest amateur multi-sport competition in the country, the Canada Games bring together over 3,000 high calibre athletes and coaches in more than twenty disciplines. Alternating between summer and winter, every two years, they showcase the immense talent and perseverance of our champions. The winter edition of the Canada Games will take place in Québec City from February 27 to March 14, 2027.

Your Role
History is made with the right people. The 2027 Canada Games are looking for a passionate Coordinator, Communications and Media Relations to help share the story of the Games across Quebec and Canada. You’ll play a key role in delivering impactful communication strategies and building strong media relationships to bring the excitement of the Games to the public. Your Mission
Under the direction of the Director, Communications and events, your expertise will allow you to:
- Contribute to the development, coordination and implementation of a communications and media strategy;
- Prepare and revise internal and external publications, such as press releases, media kits, speeches and others;
- Coordinate the planning and ensure the execution of media activities and contribute to fundraising events, outreach activities and ceremonies;
- Contribute to the coordination of planning, writing, production and distribution of the newsletter in collaboration with the marketing team;
- Support the marketing team in promoting the brand at local, provincial and national levels;
- Support staff and the management team with communications related to special events, press conferences, outreach events and ceremonies;
- Monitor media coverage and contribute to the preparation of briefing materials for the management team and board of directors.
Want to join our team? Here's what it takes:
- College or technical diploma in communications, public relations, or related field. A university degree is considered an asset.
- 3 years of experience in the communications field
- Demonstrated expertise in public relations
- Experience in writing press releases, narrative communication, and optimizing media coverage
- Professional fluency in French and English, both oral and written
- Criminal background check required
- Authorization to work in Canada
