Reporting to the project manager, you will perform the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the various members of the team, supervise and train the assistant project managers.
  • Read contracts and annotate them so that they reflect our submissions.
  • Review the relevant documents (structural plans, specifications, geotechnical studies, and any other relevant documents) used to establish the price and estimate in order to take ownership of the project and understand its scope, technical and monetary issues, and potential problems.
  • Jointly establish a work schedule with the superintendent and revise it as necessary throughout the project for adjustment with the client and management.
  • With the superintendent, draw up a list of materials, equipment, and labor required to execute the project.
  • Coordinate delivery/manufacturing of materials with the superintendents and ensure that the superintendents and site foremen receive the materials at the right time.
  • Discuss with the superintendents the progress/issues/solutions.
  • Validate daily reports and enter accounting codes (equipment and labor) related to the projects.
  • Approve invoices related to the projects and ensure project costs are monitored; profitability studies every month.
  • Document, sort and organize daily site activities, correspondence with the client and professionals.
  • Manage costs, risks, human, financial and material resources.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety measures and report problems.
  • Take responsibility for work results and the results of other collaborators on the project.
  • Ensure compliance with standards and laws in force (permits, subcontractors, provisional acceptance and end of contract).

Requested skills

Required Skills and Qualities:

  • BAC or DEC in Civil Engineering.
  • At least 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of deep foundations a great asset.
  • Holder of the ASP construction card.
  • Knowledge of AutoCad software (asset);
  • Mastery of the Office suite.
  • Have team spirit, excellent communication and actively participate, through your attitude and behavior, in developing and maintaining a respectful, harmonious and stimulating work atmosphere for all.
  • Rigor, structure, analytical skills, solution mode, attention to detail and integrity.
  • Carry out tasks and responsibilities efficiently and with the desire to perform well.
  • Travel to construction sites required.
  • Fluency in French and English, spoken and written.
