KPMG is looking for a Director to join its dynamic team at our Quebec City office. Our teams of professionals help our clients manage risks so they can focus on their core activities. As a member of the management team, you will lead KPMG's certification teams and ensure that the correct accounting practices and methodologies are applied to our clients. What you will do
- Supervise and manage various audit and certification engagements (Reviews & Compilations).
- Manage engagements from planning to the completion of deliverables.
- Advise, train, and mentor staff.
- Collaborate with clients and partners on complex issues to find appropriate solutions that meet your clients' needs.
- Ensure the application of KPMG's best practices and accounting methods in engagements.
As an Audit professional, you will provide a service that represents a high-value mark for our firm, helping companies assess their risk as they work to ensure transparency across their operations.
What you bring to the role
- Business or Accounting degree
- CPA Title in Canada.
- At least six years of experience in an accounting firm.
- Solid knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and Canadian corporate taxation.
- Experience in advisory services on common tax issues is an asset.
- Experience in audit, review, and compilation engagements.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to understand clients' businesses to build and maintain close relationships with them.
- Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities stemming from a motivation to meet high customer service standards.
- Good team spirit and great attention to detail.
- Professional experience in an accounting firm is required.
- Proven ability to delegate work effectively and strong leadership skills.
