KPMG Canada is looking to hire an experienced Product Manager with a strong technical background to join Asset Management Digital Solutions (AMDS). The Product Manager is responsible for all aspects of product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including ensuring client facing user requirements are gathered and prioritized, defining the product vision and working closely with cross functional teams. The Product Manager also ensures that the product supports the firm’s overall strategy and goals.

What you will do

  • Actively collaborates with stakeholders throughout the organization to meticulously craft the product vision, strategy, and features, while consistently evaluating business needs to pinpoint opportunities and mitigate risks
  • Engages with Tax Partners and Managers across the firm to devise a strategic roadmap for product development, working in seamless collaboration with the product lead
  • Regularly participates in daily scrums to ensure that the progression of development aligns with the business's product objectives
  • Diligently prioritizes and maintains the sprint backlog, striking a balance between the requirements of various stakeholders
  • Takes part in product walkthroughs for stakeholders, highlighting new features and modifications
  • Executes professional demonstrations of the product to prospective clients
  • Addresses concerns from stakeholders, coordinating with the relevant teams to find solutions, and communicating effectively ensure concerns are addressed promptly and satisfactorily
  • Partners with stakeholders to successfully onboard new clients to the product

 


What you bring to the role

 

  • Completion of a degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • 3+ years product and/or software engineering experience, with an ability to oversee and drive multiple projects
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills. The candidate should be able to quickly establish strong relationships with stakeholder individuals and groups at all levels
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC and prior success in working with development teams; technical capability and a track record in software development combined with experience in the leadership of software development teams and delivery of projects within a software development environment
  • Hand’s on experience with developing product roadmaps, defining priority projects to drive product innovation and updates, including plans for how projects will be sequenced and delivered
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and cloud concepts
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases and ability to query in SQL
  • Proficient in productivity applications – e.g. Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Familiarity with Canadian tax, financial & investment literacy, and emerging technologies as well as building technology in a tax environment seen as an asset
  • Proficiency in English at a business level is required

This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking colleagues or stakeholders while at KPMG. The successful candidate will be required to review and apply policies, standards and guidance in English and will communicate with English speaking regulators and colleagues nationally while at KPMG.

 

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information 

The expected base salary range for this position is $91,000 to $151,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
