Description
JOB OBJECTIVES
Responsible for the optimal flow of production activities and the supervision of the work team to ensure that products are manufactured in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), technical specifications, and regulatory requirements. Participates in production planning and organization, managing various production records. Ensures compliance with good manufacturing practices and occupational health and safety standards.
MAIN FUNCTIONS
- Organize daily and weekly production activities according to the schedule and priorities to achieve production goals.
- Anticipate potential difficulties, provide appropriate solutions, and resolve emergency situations to adhere to the production plan.
- Maintain continuous communication with supervisors from other shifts by exchanging relevant information to ensure operational continuity.
- Ensure a proactive presence on the production floor.
- Collaborate with support departments for the planning of maintenance, validation, training activities, and the assignment of personnel/materials needed for their execution. Ensure quality production in compliance with good manufacturing practices.
- Initiate non-conformities when required and take necessary actions to minimize the impact on product quality.
- Participate in investigations as needed.
- Ensure compliance of production documentation with GMP and Good Documentation Practices (updating procedures, reviewing batch records, and production logs, etc.).
- Recruit, train, and supervise personnel under their supervision in coordination with the HR department. Ensure the development and adherence to training plans, monitor employee training, and performance under their responsibility.
- Enforce health and safety rules by regularly raising awareness among employees to have appropriate safety behaviors and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Identify opportunities for performance improvement and cost optimization, ensuring their execution. Fully support initiatives related to the improvement and optimization of existing equipment and processes. Perform any other relevant tasks within the scope of the position.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Sciences or relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 3 years in the manufacturing of injectable products.
- Experience in personnel management. Solid knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing processes of injectable products and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Leadership, initiative, resourcefulness, and autonomy.
- Demonstrates judgment and is capable of making decisions. Organizational skills and results-oriented. Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure with tight deadlines and frequent changes in priorities.
- Problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills. Analytical and synthetic thinking and judgment
