Role Summary:

Reporting to the Store Manager, your role as Assistant Store Manager is to support them in managing the store operations while upholding the Laura Secord vision.

In this role, your mission will be to support the Store Manager and ensure that the team delivers excellent customer service to achieve sales targets, while helping to maintain good merchandising and the store’s presentation.

The Assistant Store Manager develops and enhances their skills and knowledge with the ambition to eventually take on the role of Store Manager.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maximize opportunities to increase sales and profits during your shift in charge.

  • Support the Store Manager by coaching and training employees.

  • Assist the Store Manager in hiring, recruitment, coaching, and administrative performance tasks.

  • Participate in training new and seasonal employees.

  • Work with the Store Manager to plan, execute, and delegate weekly tasks and responsibilities.

  • Maintain clear and professional communication with the team and administration.

  • Merchandise to maximize sales.

  • Implement and maintain merchandising guidelines and standards.

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Support the Store Manager in achieving objectives and new initiatives.

  • Perform other related duties as required.
