We are seeking an Assistant Superintendent for a night shift role to help oversee project coordination, ensuring schedules, budgets, safety, and quality standards are met.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead project execution, ensuring compliance with contracts, sub-contracts, plans, specs, and shop drawings.
  • Supervise and coordinate sub-trades.
  • Promote and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on the project.
  • Ensure materials and work meet quality standards and codes.
  • Maintain and update the construction schedule, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Issue purchase orders, confirm material receipt, and manage equipment returns.
  • Participate in project meetings to monitor progress.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports on site activities and inspections.
  • Perform duties as outlined in Ledcor’s Construction Operations Manual.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or 2 years as a Foreman.
  • OFA Level 2 ticket is an asset.
  • Strong ability to build relationships with finishing sub-trades, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Proven experience in managing project schedules and conducting PDIs.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Solid understanding of construction practices, documents, and project management.
  • Proficient in budgeting, scheduling, and software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Valid provincial driver’s license.

  • Site based
  • Night shifts.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.
