Job Summary:

You are an experienced traffic engineer who will be responsible for overseeing the design, review, signing, and sealing of various traffic management plans and associated documents. This role involves ensuring compliance with traffic engineering standards and regulations while addressing all traffic-related issues. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as the Traffic Manager, Traffic Quality Manager, and Communications & Engagement Director to coordinate all aspects of traffic management. Additionally, you will serve as a key point of contact, liaising with provincial representatives, bus operators, and other stakeholders as necessary. You are a problem solver and continuously look for innovative solutions that can be utilized on projects.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Design, review, sign, and seal master traffic management plan and associated sub-plans
  • Design, review, sign, and seal traffic control plan
  • Design, review, sign, and seal traffic advisory sign plans
  • Design review, sign and seal business advisory sign plans
  • Design review, sign, and seal traffic signal timing recommendations and traffic analysis
  • Ensure all traffic engineering issues and requirements are addressed
  • Coordinate all aspects of Traffic Management with the Traffic Manager, Traffic Quality Manager, and the Communications & Engagement Director

Qualifications

  • 10 + years experience in general traffic engineering
  • Experience in traffic analysis
  • Experience in traffic signal operations
  • Experience in bus priority measures and transit operations
  • Experience with traffic management plan development
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
