Responsibilities:

  • Operate vibratory plows to install fiber optic, electrical, or other underground utilities.
  • Ensure safe and accurate placement of conduits and cables.
  • Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
  • Work closely with ground crews and site supervisors to complete projects efficiently.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and company policies on job sites.
  • Identify and address potential hazards to minimize risks.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience operating vibratory plows in utility construction.
  • Must have a valid Class 1 driver’s license and a clean driver abstract
  • Must be NSC (National Safety Code) trained and maintain accurate log books in accordance with regulations and company standards
  • Knowledge of underground utility installations and safety protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret site plans and utility markings.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and travel to job sites as needed.

Work Conditions:

  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, in confined spaces and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)
  • Some travel will be required to site and/or other office locations
  • Working outdoors in various weather conditions
