We are currently seeking a candidate who is qualified for the role of Machine Learning and Computer Vision Research Scientist. The role of ML and Computer Vision Research Scientist reports to the Senior Software Developer. Liburdi Dimetrics Corporation offers competitive wages. The hours will typically be Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.

Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):

  • Conduct research and ongoing maintenance of machine learning and computer vision solutions within our organization.
  • Develop and implement algorithms for unsupervised learning on large datasets of images.
  • Evaluate the performance of various machine learning models and techniques.
  • Collaborate with software development team to integrate machine learning models into production software.

Key Skill Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communicator, capable of articulating complex technical concepts clearly
  • Good organization and time management skills

Key Experience/Education:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Python is required
  • Knowledge of C++ and/or C# an asset
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with the PyTorch library; knowledge of OpenCV an asset
  • Understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning techniques and neural network architecture an asset
  • Experience with image processing, feature extraction and object detection an asset
  • Knowledge of clustering, dimensionality reduction and other unsupervised learning techniques an asset
  • Experience with handling and processing large datasets; familiarity with data augmentation techniques an asset
