Cando Community School
Cando Community School is located in the Hamlet of Cando. Our school has a Kindergarten to Grade 12 program, attended by students from the Red Pheasant Cree First Nation, Mosquito First Nation, and surrounding areas. We are looking for a teacher who is skilled and adept at bringing First Nations history to all curricula through an anti-racist and anti-oppressive lens. This special candidate should be able to build relationships with students to provide meaningful connections to the Cree curriculum for them. They should also be an advocate for student needs, finding innovative and creative ways to include student voice in school decision-making structures. Organization and flexibility are highly valued.
T he alternate Cando Community School calendar for this upcoming year has 14 additional Fridays that are non-workdays, allowing for several 4-day workweeks throughout the year.
Applicants must hold a valid Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate.
