Summary of Position
This posting is for Casual Kitchen Aide Positions to fill in vacancies at North Battleford Comprehensive High School throughout the year on a call in basis. Day shift length varies from 4 to 6 hours. The Kitchen Aide, reporting to the cafeteria manager, is responsible for assisting their team with menu development, preparation and serving of food, clean up and sanitization of work area, and other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Possesses or willing to obtain Safe Food Handling Certificate
Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the use of cooking tools and equipment
Commitment to Safe Food Handling practices and procedures and safe cleaning practices
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build rapport with and work cooperatively with school staff and students
Above average organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
Must be willing to participate in training, in-service and appropriate courses of study
