Why is this role important?

Term Length: 4 Months

Term Start: January 8, 2025

Term End: April 18, 2025

As of October 15, 2024 Loblaw has adopted the following Hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues will continue working remotely up to 1 day a week, while spending the other 4 days in the office.

The impact you’ll make:

As an Associate Product Manager for PC Optimum, you’ll have the opportunity to work along side the design and engineering teams to develop and launch new features for Canada’s largest loyalty program. If you’re enthusiastic about user experience, technology, business and Loyalty Programs this is where you belong!

What You'll Do:

  • Work with Product Designers and Engineering to help shape the upcoming sprints and larger product roadmap
  • Support product backlog - including daily prioritization, grooming, writing user stories and helping keep the dev team unblocked
  • Assist in product discovery to validate new ideas and start framing new features and their prioritization
  • Use analytics to make key product decisions
  • Participate in collecting feedback from users and translating these findings into product ideas

  • You can easily build relationships and have been part of large, cross functional teams that are working to solve complex problems and build products for millions of Canadians (both customers and colleagues)
  • You have a customer first approach to building products, leveraging research and data paired with empathy to build experiences that create customer stickiness
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit and are willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
  • You are obsessed with testing and experimentation is a core pillar of how you approach product development - aka you aren’t happy unless you’ve learned something after shipping
  • You’ve got a growth mindset - you know there’s always a better way to do things and are willing to disrupt yourself or the status quo

What You'll Need:

  • Experience working closely with Engineering, Data Science & other business functions.
  • Some experience in product management / software development
  • Understanding of lean startup
  • Understanding of agile (scrum/kanban)
  • Understanding of Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics
  • Ability to work independently and sift through ambiguity
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skill
