Summer 2025 Work Term

As of October 15, 2024 Loblaw has adopted the following Hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues will continue working remotely up to 1 day a week, while spending the other 4 days in the office (to be determined by each business unit).
The Legal department plays an important role in the development of Loblaw’s innovative operations and services. Supporting business groups on legal, risk and strategic issues, the Legal department is involved in a wide range of leading edge matters. We are now seeking an intelligent, passionate, and enthusiastic law student to provide corporate / commercial contracting support to various lines of business within Loblaw including Loblaw Technology and Analytics, Loblaw Digital, Loyalty, and Loblaw Advance.
Under the mentorship of senior Loblaw lawyers, the law student will have exposure to a number of practice areas including commercial contracts, technology, procurement, intellectual property, advertising, privacy, artificial intelligence, and competition.
The ideal law student for this role will have a strong desire to work in these areas in a fast-paced environment, requiring the application of legal principles in a business-friendly manner.
Job Qualifications:
· Currently enrolled at an accredited law school
· Strong written and spoken communication skills
· Attention to detail
· Strong drafting skills
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Ability to work independently
· Solution-oriented
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Business experience/education would be asset
· Bilingual skills would be an asset
