Job Description
The Sr. Analyst Strategic Sourcing and Projects, will join a team of others reporting to the Sr. Director, EPG supporting Scheduled Services and Strategic Projects teams. The Sr. Analyst Strategic Sourcing and Projects will be deeply involved in conducting analysis to support category strategy development and execution with the goal of achieving cost savings targets. They will actively contribute to supplier engagement and strategic supplier relationship management. They are required to have strong analytical skills with extensive experience using Excel in order to conduct quantitative analysis and create/maintain a category database using multiple (and sometimes ambiguous) sources of data. They will also provide recurring and ad hoc complex analytical assignments to the category management teams. The Sr. Analyst Strategic Sourcing and Projects will also be required to conduct detailed supply market analysis and create category and supplier profiles. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
What You'll Do:
Strategic Projects & Sourcing Capabilities (1-3 years of experience)
Support the development and execution of category management strategies, processes and events for assigned categories/sub-categories
Executing category management strategies and the strategic sourcing process (e.g. RFI, RFP, etc.)
Support the category team in Ariba/Fieldglass process design, implementation and ongoing support
Conducting complex sourcing baseline analysis and assessing category benefits (e.g. savings, risk reduction, etc.) and key performance metrics
Analyzing supplier bids and proposals conducting advanced, multivariable cost regression analyses to prepare and assess potential sourcing scenarios
Actively developing and managing strategic supplier relationships while managing risk and compliance through effective supplier communications / negotiations
Use detailed market analysis to create scenarios regarding potential market development. Use insights from market analysis to support stakeholder innovation, to mitigate risks for client BU, and to amend category strategies or to deliver additional savings
Conducting comprehensive supply market analysis to identify sourcing opportunities
Ability to use past data to create supplier risk profiles and quantify supplier risks/opportunities
Support the tracking, contracting and improvement of category benefits and other key performance metrics
Support other special procurement activities and analyzes as needed by senior management
Assist the Contracts team with execution of various contracts across different categories.
Support analytics for various strategic projects (e.g. create business cases, gather data, rent vs. buy analysis, etc.)
Assist in project management of key strategic initiatives by putting together project plans, communication plans, risk mitigation plans, change management and work shop planning
Track savings and other KPIs of completed initiatives
What You'll Need:
A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business Management
1-3 years relevant experience (including financial reporting/analysis, complex analytic/problem solving experience)
Previous experience within category management or strategic sourcing would be an added advantage
Previous experience with SAP, Ariba and Fieldglass would be an added advantage
