Senior Manager, Business Analytics & Operations Decision Support

In this role, you will:

Be the Architect of Financial Clarity: Key partner in the Common Year end-to-end process, ensuring seamless alignment between initiatives and long-range plans. You'll be the subject matter expert of our financial planning module in TM1, providing expert training and support to field teams.

Influence Strategic Decision-Making: Dive deep into financial data, identifying trends, anomalies, and potential risks. You'll provide critical insights to senior leadership, empowering them to make informed decisions that drive profitability and growth for Shoppers Drug Mart.

Support Operational Excellence: Partner closely with regional business units, acting as a trusted advisor on all things financial. You'll develop insightful reports, analyze key metrics like labor costs and profitability, and collaborate on identifying opportunities to optimize performance across Shoppers Drug Mart locations.

Associate Earnings: Take ownership of the Associate Earnings Reserve (AER), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with financial plans. You'll collaborate with field teams to review results and communicate key variances to senior leadership.

Proficient Storyteller: Craft compelling financial presentations and reports that clearly communicate performance trends, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership. Your ability to translate complex data into actionable narratives will be key to your success in driving the Shoppers Drug Mart business forward.

What You Bring to the Table:

Strategic Mindset: You're an agile problem-solver with a knack for identifying trends, understanding how the business works, and turning data into actionable insights.

Collaboration Champion: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel at building strong relationships with cross-functional teams.

Financial Acumen: You possess a strong understanding of financial reporting and planning principles, with 3-5 years of experience in retail FP&A, ideally within a fast-paced retail environment like Shoppers Drug Mart.

Technical Proficiency : You're a whiz with Excel and have experience with financial management software (TM1) and SAP. Knowledge of Microstrategy is an asset.

Strong Communication Skills: You communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to present complex information to senior leadership.

Please note: This position does not report into the Finance department but plays a crucial role in collaborating with Finance to ensure alignment and drive overall business performance.
