Why is this position important?

Specialty Health Network (SHN) by Shoppers is looking to hire a summer student enrolled in a nursing program to support our clinical services department. The student will have the opportunity to put their training into practice and gain valuable practical experience by participating in the creation and modification of work instructions, the development of a clinical library, as well as the support of special projects and initiatives, as directed by the clinical management team.

The clinical department would benefit from a summer student to help complete the administrative tasks that support the functioning of the department. The student will effectively manage all assigned tasks and responsibilities within the prescribed time frame.

What you will do:

  • Support clinical management with the creation of a clinical library and the transition of current documents from a shared drive to Microsoft SharePoint.

  • Help create work instructions for various aspects of clinical workflow.

  • Be responsible for special projects.

  • Undertake any other duties or responsibilities requested.

  • Demonstrate commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement

  • Maintain high standards of professional practice by adhering to the ethics of the profession and keeping abreast of the latest professional advances

What you will need:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., nursing)

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all relevant Specialty Health Network teams

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to solve problems

  • Ability to multitask

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Must be confident when using Microsoft Office 365

Pourquoi ce poste est-il important?

Specialty Health Network (SSPS) de Shoppers cherche à embaucher un étudiant d’été inscrit à un programme de soins infirmiers pour soutenir notre département des services cliniques. L’étudiant aura l’occasion de mettre sa formation en pratique et d’acquérir une expérience pratique précieuse en participant à la création et à la modification d’instructions de travail, à l’élaboration d’une bibliothèque clinique, ainsi qu’au soutien de projets et d’initiatives spéciaux, selon les directives de l’équipe de gestion clinique.

Le département clinique bénéficierait d’un étudiant d’été pour aider à accomplir les tâches administratives qui soutiennent le fonctionnement du département. L’élève gérera efficacement toutes les tâches et responsabilités assignées dans les délais prescrits.

Votre rôle :

  • Soutenir la gestion clinique avec la création d’une bibliothèque clinique et la transition des documents actuels d’un lecteur partagé vers Microsoft SharePoint.

  • Aidez à créer des instructions de travail pour divers aspects du flux de travail clinique.

  • Être responsable des projets spéciaux.

  • Assumer toute autre tâche ou responsabilité demandée.

  • Démontrer son engagement à l’égard de l’amélioration continue de la qualité

  • Maintenir des normes élevées d’exercice professionnel en adhérant à l’éthique de la profession et en se tenant au courant des dernières avancées professionnelles

  • Études postsecondaires dans un domaine connexe (p. ex. soins infirmiers)

  • Capacité de communiquer efficacement avec toutes les équipes pertinentes du Réseau de santé spécialisée

  • Capacité de travailler de façon autonome et en équipe
