About the Role
Your Responsibilities

• Schedule maintenance for all equipment on site.
• Liaison with contractors for repair and installation of machinery/equipment as required.
• Implement preventative maintenance program and maintain records.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts.
• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process and quality system.
• Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system.
• Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
• Verify the implementation of solutions.
• Control further processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency of unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
• Follow-up, respond, resolve or refer employees to appropriate personnel for concern resolution/inquiries.
• Prepare reports, maintain records, communicate all required information to appropriate parties as required or applicable (Reports include Time Sheets, Daily Attendance Sheets, Overtime Records, Monthly Employee History).
• Provide continuous guidance to Apprentices and sign-off Apprenticeship Training Standards as assigned.
• Responsible for applicable QEMS policies, procedures & work instructions.
• Required to train employees on policies, procedures & job specific work instructions applicable to work area according to QEMS.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Who we are looking for

• Recognized Certificate of Qualification as Electrician or Millwright, or equivalent trade experience.
• Familiarity with machining centers, presses, and industrial equipment required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational skills and scheduling abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines and attain objectives with a minimum of supervision.
• Orientation, WHMIS, Safety Procedures/Controlled Entry, Forklift Training, Crane Training, First Aid, Emergency Procedures for Power Presses, Fire Extinguisher Training, Health and Safety Competency Training, ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 training as prescribed by QEMS (see matrixes), TDG Specific, Spill Training, Propane & Compressed Gases, Contractor Safety, 3R/Waste Management, equipment/machinery specific training as required, Confined Space, Lockout, Fair & Effective Discipline, Communication Skills, Harassment & Discrimination, Managing the Employee Charter, Performance Management, Cosma Culture, Fairness Committee Training, Massiv Leader Orientation, 5S, CI Suggestion Program, EAP Support Awareness.
