Under the supervision of the department director, the HSE Advisor is responsible for providing support to project supervisors during construction work. The main objective is to ensure that employees work in a healthy and safe environment. The HSE Advisor also ensures the application of applicable laws, regulations, and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the strict application of occupational health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations;
  • Monitor and maintain corrective measures;
  • Plan, prepare, and lead certain HSE meetings;
  • Draft and distribute work plans and risk analyses;
  • Collect and analyze statistics;
  • Track competencies via management platforms;
  • Conduct accident investigations and analyses;
  • Manage the supply of protective equipment;
  • Draft and distribute rescue plans;
  • Ensure machinery compliance on construction sites;
  • Issue non-compliance notices in case of deviations;
  • Develop and deliver HSE onboarding for employees;
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Skills:

  • College or university education in health, safety, environment, or a related field;
  • ASP Construction card;
  • Good proficiency in computer software (Microsoft Office);
  • Valid driver’s license.
