Within GWAM Canada, Manulife Wealth is comprised of three distribution firms (Advisory Services), an ID (Investment Dealer) securities dealer, an MFD (Mutual Fund Dealer) securities dealer and an insurance MGA (MWISI). Through these three firms we work with over 2000 of Manulife's most closely aligned independent advisors from across Canada.

In this role, the incumbent will play a crucial role in enhancing the experience of advisors & their teams at Manulife Wealth. This role is responsible for delivering a center of expertise for all business-related queries received from our Wealth branches. You will work collaboratively within a supportive environment that values innovation, continuous learning, and proactive improvement. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with advisors through email, conference calls and scheduled office visits.
  • Seeking opportunities to provide timely communications to the advisors on new developments and updates on major issues/opportunities being both proactive and reactive in a timely manner in order to minimize impact on advisor relationship.
  • Acting as point of escalation and taking full ownership of the resolution.
  • Acting as a champion for the solution, this will involve engaging other departments and possibly other Manulife Business Units and field partners.
  • The goal to resolve in a timely and effective mannner, acting professionally and in alignment with Manulife values, and managing any business and regulatory requirements that may impact a solution.
  • Manage several internal departmental processes as well as on-going support for other members of the advisor support team.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing reporting on service levels for key branches that fall under your scope of support.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including operations, recruitment, training, compliance, and IT teams..

How will you create impact?

This position reports to the Director, Advisor Experience of Manulife Wealth and directly supports the initiatives being managed and the accompanying change management.

Skills:

  • Ability to quickly build rapport with advisors.
  • Strong knowledge of technology used by advisors including back-office systems, portfolio management tools, financial planning software, etc. and how they fit into an advisor practice.
  • Ability to effectively partner with internal stakeholders to drive results
  • Thrives in a dynamic and fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Team player with solid interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong listening, consultative, and relationship management skills
  • Detail oriented, analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFP, CFA) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial services, with a focus on providing a high touch advisor experience
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong understanding of wealth management products, services, and industry regulations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with advisors and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement innovative solutions.

Salary range is expected to be between

$60,000.00 CAD - $100,000.00 CAD
