Description
Join us as an Education Specialist with Canada Retirement's National Education Team, where our mission is to engage plan members and encourage their active participation in group retirement programs. In partnership with plan sponsors, we develop a variety of educational and communication materials that drive member engagement and informed decision-making.
Reporting to the Manager of Member Education, you will be responsible for developing and delivering impactful education campaigns that enhance member engagement and grow assets within group retirement plans.
In this role, you'll consult and collaborate with multiple internal teams to create high-impact educational offerings for plan members. With a strong customer service orientation, you'll support our Sales and Client Relations teams throughout the presale process, implementation, and ongoing delivery of tailored education materials.
Position Responsibilities:
Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary contact for Client Relations and Sales teams when it comes to assessing and recommending education initiatives for clients in the $10 to $40 million.
Work with our Sales and Service teams to understand the clients’ needs and propose the right education campaign.
Collaborate with internal partners, including Marketing, Design and Creative teams to create high-impact educational material for plan members.
Assist the National Education Consultants execute on large implementations and strategic initiatives.
Consulting:
Support and contribute to the presale process, assessing the best education solutions for clients.
Guide the field in selecting templates and tools that meet client needs, promote plan growth, and encourage member engagement.
Recommend enhancements to our education strategy based on the effectiveness of various approaches and materials.
Project Management:
Manage and negotiate timelines. Coordinate numerous education and communication tasks to meet client expectations for scope, time, and quality.
Create clear, accurate content for plan member communications, ensuring key messages are effectively conveyed across various formats.
Develop and deploy email campaigns to maximize impact and enhance the customer experience.
Schedule education sessions, manage calendars, and ensure timely delivery of promotional materials.
Oversee education and communication budgets for clients with assets between $10 and $40 million.
Required Qualifications:
A university or college education in a related field and/or 3+ years of experience in marketing, communication, or the financial services/insurance industry, preferably in group benefits or retirement areas.
Experience in project management or business within pensions and/or retirement savings is an asset.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Willingness to pursue the RPA designation.
A desire to grow into a National Education Consultant role.
The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.

Salary range is expected to be between
$58,275.00 CAD - $97,125.00 CADIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact recruitment@manulife.com for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
