Manulife’s Individual Insurance business unit provides life insurance and living benefit solutions tailored to the diverse financial needs of Canadian families. Our Affinity Markets Sales team collaborates with financial advisors nationwide to offer creative insurance solutions, including health & dental, travel insurance, and simplified issue critical illness and disability products.
As an Affinity Wholesaler based at our Head Office, you will work virtually with the National Sales Team, focusing on evolving existing advisor relationships and cultivating new ones to promote client-centric solutions and increase Affinity Markets sales at Manulife. We seek a dynamic individual with a sales focus, excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a dedication to succeed. You should be coachable, collaborative, able to think critically, and responsible for presentations and national webinars. Wholesalers also have the rare opportunity to participate in a Manulife proprietary continuous training program - a dedicated program that is designed to provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to be promoted to an External Wholesaler position.
Important note: This is a Hybrid opportunity:
This position requires occasional availability during nights and weekends to accommodate multiple time zones or conduct training via virtual seminars. The incumbent will also be required to travel within Canada several times throughout the year.
Position Responsibilities:
Utilize strong communication skills to interact with advisors daily, aiming to support key advisors and partner with them to uncover sales opportunities.
Effectively handle and organize daily tasks to achieve productivity metrics, supporting advisors and the region as a whole.
Address incoming advisor inquiries, including case consultations, illustration support, product queries, and training.
Onboard new advisors with platform and product training and conduct national training webinars.
Leverage peers, external wholesalers, tools and resources, data, and analytics to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities, while using Salesforce.com to maintain advisor profiles and collaborate with peers across teams, departments, and territories to share business leads and ideas.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of insurance sales experience, with LLQP designation preferred or currently in progress.
College or university degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly at an intermediate level with Excel.
