IT Senior Business Analyst

The opportunity

Our Global Retirement Technology Delivery team is seeking an experienced, highly motivated and results focused Business Analyst to help deliver capability on our innovative systems solutions to support our Canada Retirement Business.

As an analyst on projects this is a position requiring big picture understanding and the attention to detail to deliver critical business innovation. The ability to influence and negotiate with enterprise business teams (internal and external) to the project team is essential for successful results.

The candidate will have confirmed leadership and analysis experience and will be prepared to expand this experience in a dynamic and fast paced environment.


Responsibilities

· Identifying areas for process improvement and business transformation through data analysis, process mapping, and team member engagement.

· Analyzing current processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.

· Developing and implementing new systems that align with the organization's goals and objectives.

· Measuring the success of changes through key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics.

· Experience conducting value stream analyses and documenting knowledge inputs, outputs, and "as is" and "to be" processes.

· Lead effective sessions to brainstorm solution; documenting potential options and most optimal solution.

· Experience in performing business analyses of functional requirements to identify information, procedures and decision flows and develop associated data dictionaries.

· Deliver training to guide users on new / modified system features and processes

· Support organizational change management and provide post-implementation warranty support and solve

· Produce quality documents including business processes and controls, feasibility and impact analysis.

· Proactively interact and connect with business partners (Operations, IT, Business units, Banks, Third Party Vendors) and build productive working relationships with key business partners

· Lead effective meetings to understand business drives, rationalize existing processes, present findings and facilitate decision making

· Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts, effectively communicate information gathered/complex ideas to stakeholders

· Define and analyze operational problems, identify risks and recommend options based on data-driven assessments

· Assess impacts of system/process changes to upstream and downstream processes

· Build and deliver concise and effective presentations to communicate complex ideas in easy-to-understand way to different audiences

· Support ad-hoc analysis to identify root cause of issues and resolve issues in a timely manner

What we are looking for

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in analytics and systems development capacity within the Financial Institute or equivalent

  • Strong problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills to assist and bridge the gap of Product owner and Squad teams

  • Able to independently trace data / processes from upstream to downstream to investigate issues, come up with options and manage the resolution

Salary range is expected to be between

$92,190.00 CAD - $171,210.00 CAD
