Manager, FP&A – Global Retirement

The position is accountable for providing accurate, timely, and relevant monthly, quarterly and annual financial data production, reporting, analysis, planning and forecasting to different stakeholders of the Global Wealth and Asset Management (GWAM) Finance Financial Planning & Analysis - Retirement team.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Consolidates, analyzes, and synthesizes financial and non-financial information from various stakeholders for Global WAM Finance - Financial Planning and Analysis - Global Retirement.

  • Prepares high-quality monthly and quarterly reports, dashboards, presentations, and Regional and Global Core Financial Decks, including forecasts and annual planning analysis.

  • Develops and maintains report templates, highlights key issues, and seeks resolutions, while improving and re-engineering reporting processes for consistency and efficiency.

  • Communicates business results clearly and delivers presentations to Regional Retirement CFOs and Business Units, supporting the annual consolidated planning process with in-depth analysis.

  • Leads the MBPS FP&A team in collaboration with North American business units and stakeholders, ensuring seamless reporting and planning processes, efficiently managing ad hoc requests, and interpreting, visualizing, and modeling financial projections.

  • Participates in team cross-training, seeks business acumen improvement, and trains new team members while conducting quality checks on their work.

Required Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Actuarial Science, Accounting, Finance, or related field, with 5+ years of professional experience within the financial services industry.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (macros, pivot tables, look-ups, filtering) and PowerPoint, and knowledge of Accounting System tools (SmartView-Essbase, Lawson).

  • Strong ability to interpret financial statements, develop related projections, and financial modeling skills, with experience in automating processes.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and facilitation, and the ability to engage with business partners and team members succinctly.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, proactive, highly organized, able to multitask, and work effectively in a dynamic team environment.

  • Ability to interact comfortably with Senior Management and Finance teams, develop and maintain positive collaborative relationships, negotiate, influence, and resolve conflicts, demonstrating flexibility when faced with challenges and change.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Power BI, Anaplan, Alteryx/other, and SQL automation tool knowledge is a plus

Salary range is expected to be between

$84,375.00 CAD - $151,875.00 CAD
