Manager, Growth and Go-to-Market Initiatives

The Manager, Growth and GTM will lead the end-to-end execution and management of all marketing, growth, and go-to-market (GTM) initiatives for Manulife Bank. This critical role involves developing and implementing Growth and GTM strategies to drive sales and revenue.

Reporting to the Director, Growth and GTM, this role requires close collaboration with GTM teams, including Sales, Customer Experience, as well as other internal partners, including Product, Finance, Compliance, Legal and Risk. Additionally, it involves working with third party agencies, and other resources to ensure on-time and in-full (OTIF) delivery of initiatives that meet revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Growth and GTM Planning and Execution

  • Develop and execute Growth & GTM strategies with a strong focus on acquisition, retention, and expansion opportunities to deliver on revenue targets.
  • Oversee the end-to-end sales cycle to plan, build, execute & optimize Growth & GTM initiatives
  • Ensure all GTM initiatives are aligned with the strategic objectives, enhancing engagement across the journey.
  • Monitor the progress, health, and sustainability of the overall strategy
  • Collaborate with cross functional team sales, customer experience, product, underwriting, and risk management teams to ensure GTM strategies are cohesive and supported by well-aligned offerings.
  • Manage resources effectively to ensure all initiatives are delivered on time and in full (OTIF) and meet strategic goals.
  • Map and refine the advisor/broker journey, identifying and optimizing key touchpoints to increase satisfaction and conversion rates.
  • Partner with distribution and customer success teams to ensure a seamless onboarding and enhanced client experience.

Market and Competitive Analysis

  • Conduct ongoing market and competitive research to understand trends, customer needs, and competitor activities, identifying gaps, growth opportunities and potential risks.
  • Use insights to refine GTM strategies, ensuring they align with market shifts and support Manulife Bank.

OTIF Delivery

  • Engage with Delivery and Technology teams to scope and develop solutions for GTM
  • Oversee external partnerships, including agencies and other vendors, ensuring they are aligned with GTM strategies and deliverables.
  • Manage resources and timelines to guarantee all marketing and GTM initiatives are executed on time and in full, meeting quality standards and performance expectations.

Monitoring and Optimization

  • Provide analytical rigor and strategic perspective to help inform key decisions across GTM teams, including identification of gaps and opportunities across GTM using quantitative and qualitative insights.
  • Track and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) such as lifetime value (LTV), and retention rates to evaluate the effectiveness of GTM activities.
  • Continuously optimize GTM strategies based on data analysis and feedback to enhance return on investment (ROI) and improve efficiency

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years in GTM strategy, product marketing, or growth marketing within financial services, with experience in end-to-end management of insurance or investment products.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM (e.g., Salesforce), marketing analytics, data visualization tools; experience managing high-touch customer engagement and agency relationships.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong data-driven mindset, with experience in leveraging analytics to inform strategy, optimize campaigns, and understand customer behavior within insurance or investment contexts.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of Manulife Bank, banking products, and market trends; familiarity with regulatory requirements.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills to convey complex information, build relationships, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Salary range is expected to be between

$84,375.00 CAD - $151,875.00 CAD
