Under the responsibility of the Business Development Manager – CRS and Industrial Flooring - Western Canada, the position holder fulfills the responsibilities linked to develop and manage Industrial Flooring business in Vancouver and Lower Mainland, BC.

Main tasks and responsibilities of the position:

  • Is responsible of the territory growth, sales budget and business management of the designated territory consistent with corporation objectives through special presentations of current and new products on the market
  • Is responsible for representing the company with various potential customers (distributors, consulting engineers, industrials, architects, installers)
  • Is responsible for product trainings, communications with clients regarding technical matters on Industrial Flooring products, does complaint resolution and influences buying decisions of the customers
  • Is responsible to present a written report to the management on the activities of the territory and provides market intelligence
  • Does cold calls activities or market solicitation on a regular basis
  • Responsible to provide company with feedback on field testing of new or prototype formulas
  • Participates in the development of new products with the Product Line Managers
  • Does any other related tasks.

Requested skills

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma (HSD)
  • 5 years of experience in sales, customer service in a similar industry
  • 5-10 years of experience in the laying of floor covering (Industrial Flooring/Concrete Restoration)
  • Installation/Estimating/Project management experience
  • Ability to complete hands-on demonstrations and product trainings
  • Valid driver’s license holder
  • Language spoken and written: English
  • Very good knowledge of Office automation software: Microsoft Suite Office
  • Mathematical aptitudes and technical writing
  • Good knowledge of industry standards, MAPEI products and quality standard
  • Autonomy, curtesy, and discernment
  • Synthesizing mind, adaptation capacity and perseverance
  • Communication and negotiating skills
  • Can work under pressure

Commissions

Bonus plan of a maximum of $20,000 based on the % achievement of sales objectives as well as any other purposes.
