Project Manager (Civil) - Level 2

 

As a Project Manager you will have the opportunity to manage exciting Water, Wastewater projects working alongside other construction professionals who are passionate about the work they do.   Leadership and accountability are the key to a successful project.  Along with their team, our Project Managers define the schedule; working to ensure that goals are met, and communication is maintained.  

 

Responsibilities

Tasks:

  • Coordinate subcontractors’ activities
  • Evaluate daily operations
  • Plan and organize daily operations
  • Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates
  • Hire and supervise activities of subcontractors
  • Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress
  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures for quality control
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems
  • Read blueprint, schemas and drawings
  • Plan and manage budgets
  • Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions
  • Prepare reports
  • Budgetary responsibility $8,000,001+

 

Qualifications:

Languages:

  • English

Education:

  • College/CEGEP
  • or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • 5 years or more

Location:

  • Burnaby, British Columbia (V5G 4X7)
  • Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
  • Work environment will be both indoors and outdoors.
  • May be required to work in various locations 

 

Credentials

Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses:

  • Working at heights training
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate

Pay Rate: 55.28 hourly / 40.00 hours per Week
