QA/QC Lead or QA/QC Coordinator

 

Maple Reinders Constructors is currently looking for either a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Lead or a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Coordinator in Calgary, Alberta.

 

The QA/QC Coordinator or QA/QC Lead will act as a representative of quality assurance and quality control throughout all aspects of the project and be responsible for contributing to the ongoing development and delivery of the project’s Quality Assurance and Quality Control through implementation of project agreement requirements and participation in a variety of Quality initiatives.

 

At Maple, we look for leaders, who display their leadership skills who:

 

  • Liaise with project management and stakeholders to ensure Project Agreement compliance
  • Attend internal Project meetings and periodic site meetings where attendance is requested
  • Liaise & communicate with Project Teams on compliance to project quality requirements & the available resources of the Quality Management System (QMS) and their location
  • Project site visits at planned frequencies to carry out Quality Inspection Reports (QIR’s) to review/verify compliance to Project requirements, Maple Policies & Procedures etc.
  • Aid in the development and population of Quality documentation requirements, e.g. Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) on the Maple Web Portal, non-conformance reports (NCR’s), Project Specific Quality Plans (PSQP’s) & client specific quality documentation where applicable
  • Document and manage a list of Maple owned measuring & testing (survey) equipment to monitor & manage calibration status
  • Co-ordinate and attend testing and inspections visits with the relevant consultants
  • Carry out an overview of the Maple Quality Management System (QMS) with new hires (template provided by National Quality Systems Manager)
  • Communicate & report to the National Quality Systems Manager on any quality issues (e.g. recurring non-conformances), any process/procedural/documentation improvements identified, status of Project QIR’s etc.
  • Collect & prepare project quality data for the National Quality Systems Manager to present at Management Review Meetings & to communicate the data nationally (per project performance data, regional performance data, non-conformance data etc.)
  • Upload all applicable data to the Maple portal and relevant files

 

Qualifications:

  • Post Secondary education or a combination of education and industry experience in Engineering, Construction and/or Quality Management
  • Excellent ability to read and interpret drawings and schedules
  • 2 - 5 years of Quality Control and Assurance along with supervision experience and/or equivalent experience
  • Advanced working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and Construction Standard Specifications
  • Proficient MS Office and Windows-based computer applications skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, etc.)
  • Valid driver’s license

Salary Range: $75,000/Year - $100,000/Year (Depending on Experience)
