Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week
About the Position:
We are seeking a versatile and skilled handyman to join our maintenance team in a commercial building. The ideal candidate will work in collaboration with a Class B mechanic. Any experience in mechanics is an asset, and the candidate must be capable of handling various tasks to ensure the building operates smoothly.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform basic mechanical repairs.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment (heating, ventilation, air conditioning).
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants.
- Monitor building systems to detect any anomalies or repair needs.
- Collaborate with specialized technicians for complex repairs.
- Manage the inventory of tools and supplies needed for maintenance.
- Perform other general maintenance tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in maintenance, preferably in a commercial environment.
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Ability to diagnose and solve problems proactively.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to work outside normal hours if necessary (on-call).
