About the Role
As a Manager - Forensic Accounting at Forvis Mazars, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, dedicated to valuation, forensic accounting, and litigation support engagements.
You will be a leader in innovation, bringing your expertise in risk management, valuation, and investigations to deliver tailored solutions to our clients.
Your responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple and simultaneous forensic accounting engagements.
- Supervise and coordinate work on the assignments under your responsibility.
- Prepare financial analyses, financial models, and investigative procedures related to various damage quantification and financial investigation matters.
- Ensure the quality of reports and deliverables, applying Mazars' quality standards.
- Draft reports as an independent expert.
- Prepare for and attend interrogations.
- Testify as an expert witness when needed.
- Act as a recognized resource on complex issues within your area of expertise.
- Serve as a mentor to other team members.
- Actively participate in business development activities and contribute to the growth of the firm.
Your Skills and Experience
You’re likely a good candidate if you have:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, CPA certification, and/or a Graduate Diploma (DESS) in accounting.
- Specialization in forensic accounting, with a complementary professional designation such as CA•IFA (Investigative and Forensic Accountant) or Chartered Business Valuator (CBV).
- More than 7 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years of experience in forensic accounting, specifically in damage quantification.
- Advanced expertise in financial modeling.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in both French and English.
- Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and flexible hours.
- Recognition as an expert witness by the Superior Court of Quebec (optional but considered an asset).
- Fluency in French and English is required to effectively communicate with clients in Quebec and beyond.
