About the Position
As a Tax Specialist at Forvis Mazars, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team in Montréal, contributing to our mission of providing top-notch services.
Your responsibilities
- Review corporate income tax returns, ensuring accuracy, optimization, and compliance with tax regulations;
- Respond to inquiries from audit staff and discuss technical aspects encountered during engagements;
- Review individual income tax returns or assist preparers of these returns as a tax resource during the individual tax season;
- Conduct tax research;
- Draft reorganization memoranda in collaboration with managers, senior managers, or partners.
Your Skills and Experience
You might be a good fit if you have:
- Graduate degree in taxation or a master's degree in taxation;
- Member of a relevant professional corporation (CPA) or the Quebec Bar;
- Have 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a firm or equivalent in a company;
- Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written);
- Proficiency in appropriate software (Microsoft Office suite, Taxprep, CCH, Taxnet pro...);
- Attention to detail and diligence;
- Excellent prioritization and deadline management skills.
- Proficiency in French and English, to effectively interact with all our clients in Quebec and beyond.
