The Estimator is involved from the analysis of the client's needs to the delivery of the finished product. He/she works closely with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all estimates are realistic and accepted. He/she also ensures that the project meets the client's deadlines and standards until its completion.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop clear and precise bids tailored to the specific needs of clients.
  • Estimate the quantities of materials and labor costs necessary for the project to be estimated.
  • Ensure the content and mandatory documents are prepared in concert with project managers and directors for the official submission of documents.
  • Design solutions tailored to client requests and establish initial contact.
  • Ensure to keep their knowledge up to date in electrical matters.

Requested skills

  • Have 3 to 5 years of experience in the field of electricity
  • *Proficiency in both spoken and written English and French
  • Have excellent skills in executing projects of all sizes
  • Ability to read blueprints and specifications and knowledge of industrial control products
  • Good knowledge of both imperial and metric systems
  • Good communication skills, negotiation sense, and teamwork
  • Knowledge of the mining sector (an asset)
  • Proficiency in the Office suite

    *Bilingualism is required for an Estimator position since most of our suppliers use English. This skill is essential as approximately 50% of the responsibilities will be in English and 50% in French.
