SUMMARY:
The Technical Services Intern is responsible for disposal of obsolete hardware, and inventory clean up in the SCCM and AD systems for the Ontario Division. May provide support to the technical co-ordinator’s managing incidents.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for cleanup of all computer and peripheral equipment. This could include some pre- testing of equipment, removal of hard drives, removal of memory, etc.
- Retire all hardware in the SCCM and AD systems.
- Organize and sort all computer hardware and place in disposal bin, transport the bin to the warehouse at Dundas for e-waste pick up.
- May be required to prepare excel spreadsheets to capture serial numbers, mac addresses etc.
- Communicate effectively with other team members for direction.
- Provide support to the Technical team for incident management of tickets as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post Secondary education (Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree) Computer Science, or Information Systems background would be an asset.
- A+ certificate would be an asset.
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs and move equipment
- Microsoft office suite, word, excel, email, teams
- Good organizational, troubleshooting, attention to detail
- Good communication both written and verbal
- Time management skills
- Team player
