Embark on a rewarding career as an Associate Director or Director, Asset Governance within the Funding Group, at National Bank Financial Markets. This pivotal role involves actively formalizing the governance around assets eligible, including for our Sustainable Bond Framework and participating in the Sustainability Bond Framework process. You will also ensure our sustainability initiatives are effectively managed, transparent, and aligned with our organizational goals, making a positive impact through your financial expertise and risk management skills.


Your Job

  • Further develop and refine our established governance protocols for assets, including those eligible under the Sustainable Bond Framework
  • Strengthen our existing transparency efforts and ensure continued compliance with internal and external regulations
  • Enhance alignment of our current sustainability initiatives with the organization’s evolving goals and objectives
  • Ensure effective monitoring and robust risk management practices are applied to our asset base, including for the sustainable bond issuance processes
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Enhance the monitoring and analysis of sustainable asset performance, providing regular updates to ensure continued progress
  • Coordinate internal meetings between various team members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across departments and maintain alignment on key objective
  • Contribute to the introduction of innovative approaches and stay abreast of industry developments to further advance our asset governance framework and our sustainability efforts
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to sustainable finance
  • Provide training and support to staff on sustainable finance principles and governance


Your Team

This role reports to the Managing Director and Head, Deposit Solutions and Internal Securitization. You will play a pivotal role in the team.


Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree and/or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, ESG) is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Programming skills is a plus
  • Proven experience in asset governance, sustainable finance, or a related field within the financial industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of sustainability principles, ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) criteria, and sustainable bond frameworks
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
