A career as a Chief Functional Analyst in the Payment IT team is to assume a key role in the National Bank’s technological transformation, to analyze, optimize and evolve applications, while working closely with a multidisciplinary team.

Your job
- Supporting the various partners in their approach to business or technical solutions
- Understand and challenge business needs as well as architectural requirements and convert them into functional requirements while ensuring traceability of requirements
- Write detailed functional analyses (aligned with business needs and architecture solutions), validate them with business partners, external partners
- Identify gaps and make recommendations to optimize system effectiveness and resolve issues
- Document requests and prepare recommendations to design or adapt systems that meet needs and facilitate decision-making
- Produce technical and functional specifications including expected system behaviors, use cases and user interactions with the system
- Design diagrams to model current and target processes
- Assist the team in more technical issues
- Become a contact person for the teams that revolve around the authorization process (cards, fraud, operations)
- Perform functional testing and assist the test team in developing and conducting acceptance testing of developed solutions.

Prerequisites
- University degree or other industry-related diploma and several years of relevant IT experience as a functional analyst
- Experience in managing business processes and requirements
- Demonstrated experience in functional and technical analysis in the delivery of major projects
- Experience with test scenarios and user support
- Agile delivery experience (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and knowledge of Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)
- Knowledge and experience in diagram modelling tools (BPMN) an asset
- Knowledge of the management of payments and card payments within a financial company, an asset
- Ability to work in an ever-changing environment (architecture, solution, infrastructure, organizational)
- Excellent interpersonal skills in a team and business partner environment.
