A career as a Senior Data Engineer Analyst in the Digital Performance team at National Bank means acting as a specialist in the manipulation and preparation of digital data for advanced analytics needs. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and make available relevant data in order to improve the overall understanding of our customers' behavior through our digital experiences. All of this, in line with a transversal digital vision: Individuals, Businesses and Wealth Management.
In this role, you will combine your technical expertise and business acumen to successfully complete data engineering projects. This includes creating database structures, setting up data flows, as well as optimizing data processing systems to improve efficiency. You will act as a translator between technical and business needs, ensuring the success of data initiatives to support the Bank's strategic objectives.

Your job
  • Develop a deep understanding of data in the context of digital performance measurement.
  • Listen, analyze and interpret business needs, then translate them into specific data engineering requirements, ensuring optimal alignment between business objectives and analytical capabilities.
  • Establish connections between the various data sources (advanced analytics, Martech, Cybersecurity...) and proactively integrate new essential data into the data ecosystem.
  • Implement rigorous dataset preparation processes, ensuring dataset quality, relevance, and governance.
  • Continuously automate and optimize data integration workflows, both upstream and downstream, to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
  • Develop and deploy advanced monitoring mechanisms and proactive alerts on available data, ensuring rapid responsiveness to possible anomalies or opportunities.
Your team
Within the Customer Experience and Digital sector, you are part of a large team of 12 colleagues and report to the Senior Director, Digital Performance. Combined with the team's expertise, the activities you will carry out will contribute to the development of analytical capabilities that will enable accelerated growth in digital adoption and customer engagement while supporting the bank in its digital transformation, in a multi-sector context (Personal, Commercial, Wealth Management).

Prerequisite
  • Completed bachelor's degree, related to the industry, and 3 to 5 years of professional experience OR to have completed a Master's degree, related to the industry, and 1 to 3 years of professional experience.
  • Experience in data manipulation, structuring, management, analysis and prototyping as well as knowledge of data modeling.
  • Great ability to interface directly with data via SQL and proficiency in multiple programming languages, python and spark an asset.
  • Knowledge of a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake and/or Databricks.
  • In-depth knowledge of data warehousing, extraction, and security practices, databases, big data repositories, visualization tools, APIs, and more.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage complex projects and drive them to completion, with little or no guidance and great attention to detail.
