National Bank Independent Network (NBIN) is the preeminent choice for Introducing Brokers and Portfolio Managers seeking brokerage administration support. As a vital part of the NBIN team, the Events Lead will be responsible for leading the execution of all corporate events, ensuring seamless experiences that reflect NBIN’s brand and values.

Your role

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of corporate events, including invitations, RSVP tracking, venue selection, catering, entertainment, and more
  • Collaborate with the sales and executive teams to plan and deliver various event types, including holiday events, regional networking sessions, national conferences, and virtual events (e.g., webcasts)
  • Create and distribute event-related communications such as invitations, follow-up surveys, and other required content
  • Manage corporate gifting and giveaways, ensuring creativity, vendor management, and that NBIN’s brand is effectively represented through high-quality, well-organized experiences
  • Oversee the national events calendar, tracking and managing event and sponsorship details, attendees, and logistics
  • Responsible for all event-related administration including processing invoices, organizing calendars, creating materials (nametags, agendas, signage), tracking RSVPs, etc.
  • Maintain and monitor event budgets, ensuring all programs are delivered within set spending limits including negotiating contracts for all venues and vendors
  • Orchestrate and lead event committees to ensure successful execution
  • Coordinate and execute employee/internal events as needed

Your team

This role will report to the Director of National Sales Support & Communications and work closely with the sales and executive teams to plan, manage, and execute a variety of events designed to support NBIN’s business objectives.

Prerequisites


  • Completed College diploma OR Bachelor’s degree completed in a related field and OR any other combination of education and experience considered equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience developing and executing bespoke events
  • Solutions-driven mindset with the ability to solve problems creatively and resourcefully
  • Utmost professionalism with a proven ability to deliver under pressure
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and other digital tools as required.
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize tools like Cvent, SurveyMonkey, and other event-related platforms
  • Willingness to travel 2-3 times per year to support event execution
  • Comfort working with executive-level stakeholders
  • Experience in a corporate environment is an asset
