As Senior Director, Strategy, Governance and Regulatory Management, you will support the definition of the risk management strategy and be responsible for the governance of technology, cyber, and data risk management, as well as managing the relationship with various regulators. This includes establishing roles and responsibilities, processes, and frameworks to facilitate the management of technology and cybersecurity risks within NBC.
Your role
Reporting to the Vice President of Technology, Cyber and Data Risk Management, your role in the team will be to:
- Define and implement the overall strategy in collaboration with your fellow leaders of the Vice Presidency;
- Define and update the operational model for technology, cyber, and data risk management, including the roles and responsibilities of the first and second lines of defense;
- Define and deploy the second line of defense frameworks for technology, cyber, and data risk management;
- Determine the appetite for technology, cybersecurity, and data risk, and submit it for executive approval;
- Document the business capabilities of the Vice Presidency of Technology, Cyber and Data Risk Management in collaboration with your peers;
- Establish processes to ensure that technology and cybersecurity risk management practices are followed within the bank;
- Define and deploy the change management plan for the first line of defense supervision program by the second line (Vice Presidency of Technology, Cyber and Data Risk Management);
- Establish and implement awareness and training plans to support the establishment of a technology, cybersecurity, and data risk culture, and adherence to the responsibilities of the operational model;
- Establish the regulatory inventory and communicate new frameworks or changes to stakeholders for compliance;
- Establish the supervision strategy for the bank's subsidiaries regarding technology, cyber, and data risks;
- Develop strategies to optimize communication and teamwork between all departments of the Vice Presidency of Technology and Cyber Risk Management and with other stakeholders of the first, second, and third lines of defense.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field and10 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in a related field and eight years of relevant experience
- Advanced knowledge of technology risks (e.g., CISA, CRISC)
- Experience in security governance at a large organization
- Experience in personnel management (motivating and fostering creativity)
- Experience implementing a cyber and technology risk framework at another financial institution, an asset
- Ability to influence stakeholders
- Experience in implementing cyber and technology risk management governance frameworks in another financial institution, an asset
