***The position can be located according to the place of residence of the Senior Legal Advisor, either in Ontario or Edmonton or Quebec. Hybrid work environment, i.e. 2 days a week in the office and 3 days teleworking***

You act as a recognized legal expert for all of National Bank's business lines. You will provide specialized support to the sales force for all cases that will require advice and a solution adapted to the extraordinary needs of our customers.

Your job
- Provide advisory support to business lines and other internal or external stakeholders on the legal aspect related to estates
- Be decision-making and propose solutions to simplify processing for the customer
- Be the main point of contact for partners on all requests requiring legal expertise tailored to the client's needs
- Create a relationship of trust with our partner by giving them continuous visibility
- Supporting teams in the proactive management of clients during the settlement of estates
- Develop training materials and deliver trainings
- Ensure that policies and procedures are compliant, up-to-date and responsive to the needs of the business lines
- Identify and manage risks related to estate settlement practices
- Formulate strategic recommendations with a financial and organizational impact
- Ensure the implementation of regulatory requirements and industry initiatives related to the estate settlement process

Prerequisite
- Bachelor of Laws and member of the Bar of Ontario or any Canadian provinces with 3 to 7 years of experience
- Legal experience in the financial field
- Strong interest in finance and economics
- Ability to manage several files in parallel with rigor and attention to detail
- Team spirit and interpersonal skills
- Practicality, pragmatism and good business judgment
