A career as a payment and card solutions architect in the Payment Delivery team at National Bank means participating in large-scale projects undergoing transformation that will allow you to surpass yourself, while working closely with the Bank's various sectors. This job allows you to have a positive impact on our organization, thanks to your expertise in system integrations, concepts in Domain Driven Design (DDD), cloud services, delivery of large enterprise solutions or through your solid knowledge of payment processes and your excellent communication and influence skills.

Your job

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their business needs (functional and non-functional) with the goal of designing quality end-to-end technical solutions aligned with business and architectural objectives

• Evaluate and recommend appropriate emerging technologies, platforms and tools for each project and ensure solutions are scalable, secure and compliant with industry standards

o Identify the most appropriate integration patterns, such as APIs, streaming, MSA, containerization/serverless that allow scalability, maintainability and are decoupled, secure and at a lower cost

o Apply DDD principles to solve complex problems while delivering a composable architecture

• Produce cloud-native or hybrid solutions by offering the most appropriate AWS cloud services for the context of the project such as Serverless and containers

• Develop and implement robust security measures to protect data, applications, and systems and ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulations

• Act as a trusted advisor to customers and partners, presenting and explaining technical solutions while leading and mentoring a team of developers throughout the project lifecycle.

Within the Payments, Cards & Regulatory Projects sector, you will be part of the Solution Architect team and report to the Senior Director of this team. This same team is responsible for designing innovative and efficient solutions to improve our customers' experience. Our team stands out for its extensive and in-depth expertise in several technological and business areas and its coverage of aspects related to applications, data and infrastructure.

Prerequisite

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Information Technology completed, and ten years of relevant experience or Master's degree in Information Technology, and eight years of relevant experience

• AWS Solution Architect Associate and/or Professional certification required

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect, with a focus on large-scale, complex solutions.

• Experience with orchestration technologies/techniques (Camunda, AWS step functions, etc...)

• In-depth knowledge of software design and development

• Proficiency in AWS cloud services, such as EKS and Serverless, as well as structured and unstructured databases, such as RDS, DynamoDB, and S3

• Proficiency in the concepts, technologies and solutions of a modern ecosystem, including composable architecture, microservices, APIs, event architecture, orchestration, security and cloud services

• Knowledge of debit/credit card processes is an asset

• Excellent communicator and ability to influence, strong ability to synthesize, analyze and popularize

• Experience with agile methodologies.
