GENERAL FUNCTION
The Project Manager will lead strategic corporate initiatives, driving cross-functional business outcomes. We are looking for candidates with experience in managing complex business projects across various departments. While project management expertise in IT or agile frameworks is valuable, this role focuses on business-driven projects rather than technology-centric or Scrum-specific initiatives.
Reporting into the Senior Manager, the Project Manager will be responsible for the full cycle requirements gathering, planning, delivery and reporting on key projects impacting cross functional areas of the business. The successful candidate in this application will be one who demonstrates a highly collaborative and proactive approach to project management and the ability to pull teams together from different areas of the business in order to collaboratively deliver on high priority enterprise wide projects.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Lead and manage enterprise-wide projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, scope, budget, and strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives and deliverables, aligning with organizational goals.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success
- Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders, senior management, and executive leadership.
- Utilize project analytics to make informed decisions, optimize resource allocation, and enhance project efficiency.
- Manage third-party vendors, contracts and external partnerships to ensure seamless project execution and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for project-related expenditures.
- Foster effective communication channels among team members and stakeholders, facilitating a smooth exchange of project-related information.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, risk logs, and post-implementation reports.
- Identify and resolve project issues, bottlenecks, and conflicts to maintain project momentum and quality.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills, inspiring and motivating the project team to achieve exceptional results.
- Support the growth and development of the ePMO through the implementation and continuous improvement of a Project Management framework.
- Champion change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions for stakeholders and alignment with business strategies.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in business, technology, finance, or a related field.
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in the full-cycle planning and delivery of highly complex enterprise-wide projects.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the finance or fintech industry, with a successful track record of delivering complex projects.
- Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management environments.
- Experience working in retail banking, consumer lending or financial technology operations is preferred.
SKILLS
- Strong leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams and executive-level stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and possessing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
- Expertise in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Asana, or Smartsheet.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking.
- Ability to negotiate, resolve conflicts and facilitate discussions across diverse teams.
