The Core Shack technician is part of the exploration team.
- Open core boxes and make them available to drilling geologists (core box handling)
- Measure core footage
- Align oriented core boxes
- Perform fracture count (RDQ)
- Follow-up on holes in progress
- Store core boxes
- Sample efficiently and safely
- Prepare shipments to various analytical laboratories
- Participate in various field campaigns as required
- Take care of site and equipment maintenance
- Ensure that work areas are clean and safe at all times
- Support the Core Shack supervisor in his/her work
- Respect, know and promote the company's regulations and policies, particularly in terms of health and safety, the environment and respect for the surrounding communities.
- Participate in the Core Shack health and safety activities
- All tasks related to the performance of duties
- Combination of relevant education and experience
- 1 to 5 years' experience in a core library
- Good computer skills
- Valid driver's license
- Bilingualism, French and English (an asset)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Organizational skills
- Teamwork in a multicultural environment
- Ability to adapt
- Schedule : 14 days of work followed by 14 days off
- Éléonore mine site (Fly-in, Fly-out from Montreal, Chibougamau, Matagami, Rouyn-Noranda, Val D'Or and Wemindji)
