Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and energetic Long Hole Driller with a positive attitude to join our Longhole Drilling team and further develop their skills and knowledge to contribute to our ongoing development and growth

Responsibilities
  • Operate long hole drill efficiently and accurately to drill production holes, slot raises, drop raises, etc.
  • Complete other production tasks (hole cleaning, loading, blasting, etc.) as required
  • Read, understand, and follow engineering prints
  • Take direction from Production Leaders and/or Underground Supervisors in a respectful manner
  • Inspect and operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner at all times
  • Other duties that may reasonably be required
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience on various long hole drills
  • Experience on carrier mounted long hole drills preferred (Sandvik DL422ie)
  • Loading and blasting experience
  • Cable bolter operating experience beneficial
  • Possess Ontario Basic Common Core and any relevant specialized modules (U0090, U0070, etc.)
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to multitask efficiently
  • Strong commitment to seeking efficiency and productivity improvements
  • Current and valid Driver’s License preferred
  • A high level of flexibility to adapt to changes as necessitated by the business
  • Possess effective communication skills and be a collaborative team member
Working Conditions

The schedule for this position will consist of 14 days on and 14 days off, 12 hours per day.
