About Brucejack
Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.

As a Senior Mine Engineer (Mid-Term Planning), you'll lead mine engineering initiatives that drive safe, efficient, and cost-effective production. Your expertise will shape mid-term mine plans, guide engineering teams, and ensure alignment with operational goals.
Lead and mentor mine engineers in planning, ventilation, and project tasks
Develop and manage medium-term mine plans (3 months-2 years)
Ensure engineering practices align with production and safety targets
Maintain and update SOPs in line with regulations and best practices
Analyze data and performance, reporting variances and corrective actions
Present planning insights and KPIs to senior leadership
Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving strategies
Collaborate across departments to align technical and operational goals
Assess and mitigate operational risks through strategic planning
Bachelor’s Degree in Mine Engineering or related field
P.Eng. designation or eligibility in BC
Extensive, recent experience in underground hard rock mining
Proficiency with Deswik CAD, Sched, MDM, and MS Office
Knowledge of ventilation, drill & blast, and project planning
Excellent leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and technical reporting abilities
Experience with risk management and process improvement
Remote camp setting with private accommodations provided
Onsite meals, gym, recreation, and entertainment facilities
Travel allowance and transportation arrangements included
Rotational schedule: 13 days on / 13 days off
Drug & alcohol-free workplace (pre-employment testing required)
The Brucejack Mine team is now recruiting for the position of Senior Mine Engineer, with a competitive base salary between $103,275-$137,700, with an additional short-term incentive of 15%. The offered base salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies, with consideration to internal equity. The expected salary range for this role is CA$103,275-$137,700 + 15% short-term incentive . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
