Purpose

Reporting to the Planning & Reliability Superintendent, the Stationary Maintenance Planner is responsible for the planning of immediate and scheduled shut down projects for the stationary maintenance team.

Responsibilities

* Remain and continue to practice workplace procedures and workplace protocols.
* Speak up for health and safety, identify, report and address risks.
* Report to work physically fit.
* Complete safety training and certifications as required by site and departmental procedure.
* Always wear PPE while in Maintenance environment.
* Follow operating procedures and comply with regulatory requirements.
* Competent on mine site locations and ability to identify hazards
* Ensure that all non-immediate maintenance work identified is thoroughly planned in accordance with site maintenance process standards prior to scheduling for execution
* Develop job plans from work requests, operator inspections, PM inspections, and PdM activities that follow the planning criteria, established by the Maintenance Management Team, to maximize craft efficiency, minimize equipment downtime, and ensure improvement at every opportunity
* Ensure all materials are available, kitted, and pre-staged for scheduling
* Develop weekly maintenance schedule and maintain a 6-week rolling maintenance schedule
* Review equipment PM inspections and frequencies to determine effectiveness, update as required
* Engage craft, vendors, technical support services, and management in the planning process
* Ensure safety precautions are included in each planned work order
* Utilize component tracking and equipment delay data to identify trends and forecasts for future work
* Work closely with Materials to manage maintenance inventory
* Demonstrate willingness to learn
* Increase efficiency and personal productivity
* Perform other related functions as assigned by supervisor.
* Follow all procedures related to environmental sustainability.
* Report environmental incidents and support investigations.
* Treat all colleagues, business partners and other stakeholders with respect
* Display Newmont’s values of Safety, Integrity, Sustainability, Inclusion and Responsibility in all actions.
* Participate in capability training per departmental procedure.
* Perform employee performance assessments per company and site requirements.
* Liaise witthe h Human Resources department to support employee engagement and wellbeing

Requirements

* Completion of a college diploma or degree in a related discipline

* Certified journeyman with 5 years of experience in lieu of degree

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, written, and listening skills

* A high level of organizational skills, confidence, and decision-making abilities

* Ability to perform in a self-directed, fast-paced, team environment

* High degree of computer literacy. (Microsoft Word, Excel, Projects, SAP) an asset

* A thorough understanding of Maintenance management

Working Conditions

* The Musselwhite gold mine in Northwestern Ontario is a fly-in, fly‑out operation on the southern shore of Opapimiskan Lake, about 480 kilometers (km) north of Thunder Bay. An all-weather road connects the mine to the community of Pickle Lake, about 200 km to the south.

* Musselwhite is a remote site with frequent exposure to extreme cold conditions.

* Office arrangements will be provided on site with access to the Thunder Bay offices and boardroom as necessary.

* Accommodation is in a camp environment near the workplace.

* 12hr rotating shifts consistent dayshifts in alternating 14-day cycles with 14 days off.

* Position may require traveling to and/or assisting of other domestic sites
